Diesel Crankshafts

A damaged crankshaft can stop an engine rebuild in its tracks. Spun bearings, scored journals and cracks all mean the crank must be replaced or reground. Internet Diesel carries replacement crankshafts for popular heavy-duty diesel engines.
Crankshafts We Stock
This collection covers the Caterpillar C7, C9, C10, C12, C13 and C15. It also covers the Cummins ISX, ISM and N14, and the Detroit Diesel Series 60 12.7L and 14L. Each listing shows the engine fit and part details.
Rebuild Tips
Measure the main and rod journals before you order bearings, since a reground crank needs undersize bearings. Check the thrust surfaces and oil passages too. For a full rebuild, pair the crankshaft with an inframe kit or overhaul kit, and a matching camshaft.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a crankshaft be reground?
Often yes, if the damage is within limits. A replacement crank saves time when the old one is cracked or too worn.
What else should I replace with the crank?
Main and rod bearings, thrust washers and the front and rear seals are usually replaced at the same time.
